What each version label means

Browser original

No suffix

The Flash-era browser release. These originals were published from 2007 to 2018 and are the versions listed as playable on this site where available.

Tablet edition

HD

An edition made for iPad and Android tablets. The first HD release was Burgeria HD in 2012; Flipline stopped making HD editions in 2019.

Mobile edition

To Go!

An edition designed for phones that later adapted to larger screens. New games have launched first as To Go! titles from 2021.

Steam edition

Deluxe

A rebuilt desktop edition distributed on Steam. It adds later series systems such as holidays, custom staff and the food truck.

Choose by device

Browser

Use this site for the 17 available browser entries. A game page opens the playable version directly.

Phone or tablet

Look for a To Go! edition. Older titles may also have an HD edition for tablets.

Windows computer on Steam

Choose a Deluxe edition when one exists for the restaurant you want. The three Deluxe games use the same base price and shared content count.

Why the suffix matters

A suffix can identify a different release year and a different feature set. Use the full title, including HD, To Go! or Deluxe, when comparing dates, screenshots and store pages.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Papa's HD and To Go!?

HD editions were designed for tablets. To Go! editions began on phones and later supported both phones and larger screens.

Are Deluxe editions the same as browser originals?

Deluxe editions rebuild earlier games for Steam and add later systems. They have separate release dates and store pages.

Which version should I choose?

Use the browser version on this site, a To Go! edition on a phone, an HD edition on an older tablet, or a Deluxe edition on Steam when available.
