Fireboy and Watergirl 2: Light Temple expands Oslo Albet’s 2010 co-op series to 40 challenging chambers. Steer light beams through angled mirrors, trigger photo-sensitive sensors, and operate light-bending levers while avoiding lava, water, and toxic sludge.
Both players operate simultaneously on a single shared keyboard. Split controls across both sides: Player 1 controls Fireboy with arrow keys; Player 2 steers Watergirl with WASD.
Bending light to open pathways: Light Temple introduces rotating prisms and sliding mirror blocks. Direct light beams into color-coded receptor eyes to lower force fields and raise elevators.
Light beams pass freely through characters, but physical barriers and switches block their path. Push sliding mirrors carefully; pulling levers rotates beam angles by 45 or 90 degrees.
Mid-game chambers require complex optical relay chains. In Level 16 and Level 23, one player must hold a continuous lever rotation while the partner sprints through timed light bridges.
Fireboy and Watergirl 2 runs in modern web browsers via HTML5 and Ruffle Flash emulation with zero downloads or installations required.
